Calvary invites you to participate in activities that benefit the San Angelo Community such as Project Dignidad and the Women's Shelter.
Rice and Beans for Project Dignidad: In July, children and adults gather together after Sunday service to bag up rice and beans into packets. Pizza is served afterwards. Our bagging event in September, 2019 resulted in 440 pounds of rice and beans delivered to Project Dignidad. This activity will resume when Covid restraints are lifted.
Women's Shelter Hope Kits: In July, members and children collect small items needed at the shelter, such as shampoo, kleenex, hair brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes and put the items in the designated area of the Narthex. On the 1st Sunday in August following worship, everyone gathers after church to put the items in tote bags for delivery to the Women's Shelter. Despite Covid restraints items were collected and delivered in August, 2020.
